Update | Fall television

In an earlier post, I mentioned that I was excited for Fall television. Well, now that many shows have had a chance to premier and make their mark, I'm forced to admit that I already dropped two shows from my Fall lineup.

Glee, the popular musical show on Fox, was too sporadic and pointless for me. The music doesn't make it worth watching either. Promising as it was, House (also on Fox) ended up being a major disappointment from episode one. I dropped it then. I'm still watching my other shows and Ugly Betty debuts Friday so we'll see how that goes, won't we?

Take a deep breath

For some reason, October feels like such a rushed, busy month. Maybe it is due to the imminent holiday season or the nearing New Year, but something about October in particular makes you wish that you could just relax. I have something that can aid you in your endeavors. I was stumbling and came across Paul Neave's site. Here, he has one virtual idea of a way to relax—blow a dandelion. And if you are interested in how he created this, you can download the source code on his site!

Day off

I normally have Fridays off for my internship, so I spend them doing things that I enjoy—like playing video games, job searching, browsing the internet, reading and the like. However, I decided that this Friday I would get our townhouse cleaned (I live with my sisters). I am used to cleaning and I'm a tad OCD about having the house together. Well, I'm proud to say that I got the house spic and span and everything feels cozy and warm. Now, I am completely ready for Fall to begin—and with a clean house!

Yellow school bus

You know, everyone says that once you graduate from high school and college, you will wish that you could go back. I beg to differ. Now more than one year out of college, I will always be glad to be finished with school (until I go to grad school, of course). Here are some reasons why:

• Now I get paid for waking up early
• I no longer have to worry about standardized tests
• I can eat in or out of the office
• I don't have to do homework
• No gym class
• I can always apply for a new job if I don't like it
• A more mature environment (usually)

So, all the kids who are back in school for another year, stick with it. You might decide that you actually enjoy it and hate my little list. Regardless, I do feel that education is very important. I just don't like the system we have right now. What about you? Sound off.
