So, the story-line wasn't bad considering that the majority of the film was focused on very action-packed fight scenes—which were great, mind you. At times, the acting felt a little forced and dry, which is not too bad considering that most of the time, you were so busy watching shurikens flying left and right, swords flashing and figures clad in black racing to and fro. There is lots of blood, so if you are squeamish, skip this one. It has a rating for a reason parents—don't bring your kids.
However, that's just it. Other than having moments where you were like, "Wow, that looked painful", the film was simply okay. Other than weapons on the screen, nothing really jumps out at you. The movie doesn't really stick with you either. Would I watch it again, not necessarily. Knowing what I know now, would I pay theatre prices to see it? Probably not. I think I would wait until it comes out for rent or onDemand. The choice is yours, but my grade is below.
Grade: C
