Elephant Polo

There is a sport for everyone—and everything. I have just discovered elephant polo. It is just like polo, but it is played while riding elephants and with small changes to adjust for the size and speed. It doesn't seem as intense as regular (or even water) polo, but check out the elephant that is decked out in this YouTube video.

Wireless charging...somewhat...

Film Spotlight | 12 and Holding

OoooOooo...the first "film spotlight" on NewfoundJoye! Isn't that lovely? Sorry to burst your bubble, but this isn't a happy-go-lucky film. Instead, what I have to share is a movie about rejection, change, frustration, difficulty, coming-of-age and death. I know, those are some heavy thoughts for a Tuesday. However, 12 and Holding is a very great film—one that is easily overlooked unless you catch it during a moment of channel surfing. I recommend watching it if you get a moment. Perhaps, you will decide to share it with a family member or friend.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

Ah, the "inbetween-quel". How wonderful is that? It's like a 1/2 game. You remember how Disney released The Lion King 1 1/2? Well, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is to the Kingdom Hearts series what The Lion King 1 1/2 was to the Lion King series—only a video game. It starts out a bit slow. Lots of tutorial (not fun for people who are familiar with Kingdom Hearts from games I and II), but it is necessary for the switch from PS2 to DS (or DSi). Not too much touch-screen action thus far, but lots of regular D-pad and A,B,Y,X combos. Graphics are okay, you can expect as much from Square Enix. Of course, there is the storyline as well—slightly vague, but still intriguing. Would I recommend buying it? At the moment, I'd say wait for my game review. I haven't played enough to be certain. But it's $35, if you have cash to waste, why not?

Closing NewfoundRhapsody

Maybe it's just the week-long deadline or the fact that no one is really participating, but either way, I am closing down NewfoundRhapsody. I may open it some other time, but for now, I'm shutting it down. Instead, I may post some of my own images here for your viewing pleasure.
