The nudity I'm talking about is environmental and only seen in certain locations worldwide. I was walking to the bus stop this morning and all around I saw naked trees. They were baring their branches for all the world to see and I must say that it is beautiful to behold. Something about the loss of leaves gives trees an almost elegant appearance. They no longer have blossoms to hide behind. They are completely exposed and you can see their imperfections. Yet they are so interesting with knots, curves, twists, turns. This is one of the reasons that fall is my favorite season.

You know, people throw around the word "devastation" a lot. One scenario: two girls wearing the same dress to a public function is "devastating". Not being able to get tickets to a popular concert or event is "devastating". However, true devastation to me is losing everything you have—materials, people, hope, happiness. My heart goes out to all those in the Philippines who are dealing with true devastation. If you would like to help, read here (you'll have to scroll down a little).

Now that gray wolves have been removed from the endangered species list, they can be hunted legally. For some, this is beneficial to their livelihood—these "some" being farmers in the country. Animal rights enthusiasts are not happy about this, but they never are. I'm not exactly thrilled with game hunting, but I believe that hunting down a wolf for your own personal protection is a basic human right. Sound off and let me know what you think.
