Design Studio | Mike and Maaike

Often, I look to other blogs and sources to find out what other designers are making. Share Some Candy is a great way to see work from various industries from graphic design to textiles. While I did not study industrial design, I am often quite attracted to the results created. Mike & Maaike is a San Francisco-based industrial design studio that creates many innovative works. Please, visit their website and read more about them. I am very taken by the execution of their projects. You will recognize many of their clients, including: Google, Belkin, XBOX, and BlankBlank. If you are looking for some inspiration, you might find it at Mike & Maaike.

Dvein

I first discovered Dvein on Behance. Their work is exceptionally well-executed and usually accompanied by excellent music. Their clients include National Geographic and Diesel Jeans. If you have some extra time, I recommend looking at some of their work. They are located in Barcelona, Spain, so much of their work is used to promote motion and animation overseas.

Rita's hot!

When you see design every day, you are often surprised by the level of creativity people are born with. This is no exception for Canadian design studio, Rita. I feel that people often draw a very strict line between art and design and Rita has managed to cushion that line to bring out the best in their work. Some of their work is flat, some is dimensional—some of it is a very nice marriage of the two. I hope you will take a look at their site, but if you are in a hurry, I have more of their work available after the jump.

Pop Goodness

I often browse people's art on Behance to see what's going on in the design community worldwide. I always see some very nice work and become inspired. One really creative group of graphic designers is Filter017. I like their style and I wanted to share it with you (in case you didn't already know). Filter 017 has been around since 2004 and I hope they continue making awesome work. They also have a blog, so check it out if you have the time.

Superpoked!

The best thing about illustration is that people have so many different styles. One studio whose illustration I admire is Poked Studio. Their work is playful yet somewhat creepy and eerie. I like how something that might be "cute" is given a bit of an ominous twist. Hit the jump for some more illustrations and check out their site!

Surprise, surprise! Images from Poked Studio

25 years and more to come

If you have never heard of Duffy & Partners, it's okay because you probably are familiar with their work. They design quality media for a very large group of clients. While you should definitely take a look at their work, I wanted to draw your attention to their 25 yearly bottle designs. These are very impressive and I look forward to next year's too. Cheers!

Designed from scratch

Do you know how you eat a processed, pre-packaged cookie and it feels like it is missing something? Well, what is missing is the love that comes in from homemade goodness. I feel that One Fast Buffalo brings love into their design. OFB is in the southwestern US and their work is clean, concise, authentic and fresh. Of course, words say nothing compared to actual work. Go to their site and look around. You can change their background as well, so customize it to your liking—I really like this option. The interface is really fun and unique as well, so it's exciting to explore. If you hit the jump you'll see some of their works that I really enjoyed.

Media with a mission

I'm really feeling MISSION MEDIA. It's a creative agency in Baltimore. I came across information about them after seeing the newly designed Charm City Cakes website during a rerun of Ace of Cakes on Food Network. Check out their other great work—you'll be impressed.
